On Wednesday 12th June Balanceability began in Year 1!
Nearly half of the UK’s 6-year-olds are unable to ride a bike, which means that they miss out on the countless benefits of being able to cycle.
Balanceability aims to embed cycling into the lives and psyches of all children. The unique Balanceability programme has been designed with child development experts and cycling professionals so that all children have the opportunity to learn to ride a bike.
Over the next six weeks, the children of Year 1 will take part in weekly 20 minute Balanceability sessions. Using the balance bikes, the programme is designed to help children gain the confidence and skills required to ride a pedal bike independently, getting them off to the best start in cycling.
